내내 정글 속 마을에서만 살다가 어른이 다 되어서 파도가 일렁이는 드넓은 바다를 처음 봤다면 어떤 느낌일까?
바다의 풍경과 파도에 압도되어 선뜻 그 물결에 몸을 담그기가 두려웠던 우리의 형제들…^^; 아구스(줄무늬 옷)는 남편의 손에 이끌려 허리까지 담그고는 내내 큰 소리를 지르며 웃으며 파도가 올때마다 점프하는 법을 배웠다. 조용한 성격의 도루스(주황색 옷)는 큰 미소 속에 두려움이 가득했는데 물에 뜨는 보드에 올라타고서야 물결을 조금은 즐길 수 있었다.
3주간의 웍샵이 다끝났고 담주 목욜이면 다시 왕그말로로 돌아가지만 아직 마무리할 일들이 꽤 남아 있다. 앞으로도 이일을 더 해보고 싶은 아구스와 별 도움이 되지 못했다며 미안해 하는 도루스… 금욜에 웍샵이 끝나면 월욜뱅기로 바로 돌아가고파 했을만큼 고향집을 그리워했다. 바다 구경도 하고 가족들 선물도 좀 사야지 빈손으로 그냥 갈거냐는 말을 듣고서야 얼굴이 펴지며 즐거워하던 모습. 그들의 소박한 즐거움이 자연스레 주님을 향한 찬양으로 승화되어지길…^^
이번에 간 아마이 해변은 강과 바다가 만나는 곳이라 얕고 느린, 맑고 투명한 강물과 오후 밀물때가 되어 일렁일렁 몰려드는 파도에 몸을 맡겨 둥둥 떠 있는 것만으로도 무척 즐거웠던 시간이었다. 지치도록 열심히 일한 후 주어진 즐거운 쉼의 시간. 잠시간 우리에게 맛보기로 주어진 천국의 시간이었다.

How would that felt if you’ve lived only in the Jungle entire your life and saw the ocean and the waves for the first time as an adult?
It was little overwhelming for Agus and Dorus at Amai beach yesterday. Agus was shouting and laughing in the ocean as SungKyu taught him how to jump whenever wave comes to him on the shallow side. Dorus had a big smile but looked rather scared. It was good to see him enioying little better when he had our boogie board.
3 week long workshop was finished on Friday and they missed home enough to say they wanna leave on Monday for Wanggemalo. After SungKyu talked about going to the beach and shopping little bit for their family, they looked happy and agreed leaving on Thursday. Agus is interested in working with us more and Dorus felt sorry for not being more helpful. Even though they still have things to finish up until early of next week, it was nice to celerbrate and have closing time of what they’ve done.
One of the reasons we like Amai beach is because it also has a nice stream. The stream was so clear and calm and the ocean was wavyer in the afternoon so that we could just float there enjoying different ways. It was a huge blessing to have so good rest and enjoyable time after a long time of hard work. It was little bit taste like heaven.
