Meditation. 에녹이 하나님과 동행했던 이유.
10대에 이르는 셋의 족보에는 가인의 족보(4:16-24)와는 달리 나이가 소개된다. 이들은 하나같이 하나님의 형상을 이어가며 장수했다. 이는 장차 우리가 맛볼 영생이 어떠한 것인가를 보여준다. 하나님은 이들 중 하나님과 동행했던 에녹을 365세로 죽기 전에 데려가신다. 에녹이 하나님과 동행했던 것은 므두셀라를 낳은 후부터다(22절). 도대체 므두셀라의 출생이 에녹에게 어떤 영향을 끼친 걸까? 므두셀라의 이름에는 ‘그가 죽으면 심판이 온다’는 뜻이 담겨 있다. 즉 에녹은 므두셀라를 낳으면서 그의 죽음과 동시에 세상의 심판이 시작되리라는 하나님의 계시를 받았던 것이다. 임박한 종말에 대한 대비가 결국은 주님과 동행하는 결과로 나타난 것이다. 그 동행이 얼마나 간절하고 친밀했던지, 에녹에게 죽음을 허락하지 아니하시고 곧바로 데려가셨다.
건강한 종말론은 주님에 대한 사랑으로 이어져야 한다. 당신은 주님과 날마다 동행하고 있는가? 주님과 동행하는 삶에 방해가 되는 요소는 무엇인가?
