1 Then the LORD said to Moses: 2 “Set up the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the first month. 3 Place the ark of the Testimony in it and shield the ark with the curtain. 4 Bring in the table and set out what belongs on it. Then bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps. 5 Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony and put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle. 6 “Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting; 7 place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it. 8 Set up the courtyard around it and put the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard. 9 “Take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it and all its furnishings, and it will be holy. 10 Then anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar, and it will be most holy. 11 Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate them. 12 “Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water. 13 Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest. 14 Bring his sons and dress them in tunics. 15 Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so they may serve me as priests. Their anointing will be to a priesthood that will continue for all generations to come.” 16 Moses did everything just as the LORD commanded him.

Meditation. 성막의 건립과 함께 시작하는 새출발
하나님은 성막제작을 마친 이스라엘에게 이듬해 1월 1일에 성막을 세우라고 명령하신다. 이는 정확하게 이스라엘이 출애굽한 지 둘째 해 1월 1일을 가리킨다(17절 참조). 성막제작이 출애굽 이후 3개월이 지난 후부터 시작되었으므로(19:1 참조), 대략 9개월의 시간이 걸린 셈이다. 하나님이 오랜 시간 정성스럽게 제작한 성막을 새해 첫 날 세우라고 하신 것은 성막이 이스라엘 백성에게 새로운 삶의 시작임을 알려주시기 위함이다. 이 시작은 거룩하고 성별된 시작이다. 하나님은 이를 위해 모든 기구에 기름을 발라 거룩하게 하시고, 이 성막에서 섬길 제사장들도 물로 씻고 기름을 붓고 거룩한 옷을 입혀 구별되게 하셨다(12-15절). 또한 성막이 세워진다는 것은 오늘날 주님의 몸된 교회가 거룩하게 세워짐을 말한다. 교회가 거룩하고 아름답게 설 때 우리의 발걸음은 날마다 새로운 거룩한 향기를 날리는 발걸음이 될 것이다.
나의 삶은 얼마나 주님과 동행하는가? 그분 앞에 얼마나 구별되기에 힘쓰는가? 내가 속한 그리스도의 몸된 교회는 진정한 거룩을 이루어 가는가?

22 They made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth–the work of a weaver- 23 with an opening in the center of the robe like the opening of a collar, and a band around this opening, so that it would not tear. 24 They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe. 25 And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates. 26 The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses. 27 For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen–the work of a weaver- 28 and the turban of fine linen, the linen headbands and the undergarments of finely twisted linen. 29 The sash was of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn–the work of an embroiderer–as the LORD commanded Moses. 30 They made the plate, the sacred diadem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD. 31 Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses. 32 So all the work on the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, was completed. Meditation. 온전한 매듭을 짓는 성도
끝이 보이지 않던 어마어마한 성막건축 역사가 드디어 매듭을 짓게 되었다. 그것도 대충 매듭된 것이 아니라 여호와께서 말씀하신 그대로 정확하게 완성되었다. 순종의 완성도를 높이기 위해 모세는 과연 성막이 여호와께서 말씀하신대로 제작되었는지 점검한다(43절). 성막 기구 중 그 어떤 것도 쉽게 대충 제작할 수 있는 것이 아니었다. 대제사장의 옷만 하더라도 주요한 판결흉패를 제작하는 것 외에도, 에봇 안쪽에 입는 긴 겉옷과 반포무늬 속옷 제작에도 각각 많은 정성과 정교함이 요구되었다. 제일 끝 가장 자리에 석류를 수 놓고, 순금으로 방울을 달아 놓고, 이것을 교차적으로 돌아가며 장식했다(24-26절). 머리에 쓴 관도 정성을 다해 제작하고 그 머리 위에는 ‘여호와께 성결’이라는 말을 정성스레 새겨야 했다(30절).
나는 하나님이 내게 주신 사명을 온전하게 매듭짓는가? 아니면 시작은 하지만 늘 흐지부지 되지는 않는가? 주신 사명을 매듭지으라. 그것도 다시 한 번 꼼꼼히 점검하며 철저하게 마무리지으라.
